Daniel Buehler
Over the past twelve years I have worked in the mental health field in a variety of capacities, including inpatient units, residential facilities, and day treatment settings. My experience and training with children, adults, and families in these settings has given me a practical knowledge and understanding when working alongside my clients to facilitate change. A significant part of my experience has been working with adults and adolescents coping with past trauma to adjust and move past stuck points, decrease depression, and move forward on the life they want to live. I strive to meet my clients in the circumstances they are in and make a collaborative effort to overcome the challenges they face. I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) in the treatment of PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Activation (BA) for depression, and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. Forming relationships with clients and being witness to their progress and resiliency is something that has been rewarding. Outside of work I enjoy backpacking, kayaking, reading, and swimming.

carissa weber
My name is Carissa Weber. I am an outdoor enthusiast dedicated to helping others return to enjoying their own lives. As a therapist, I use a blend of treatment modalities, neuroscience, and sarcasm to help clients build on their strengths to rediscover who they are. When we work together, you will have a safe place to share your experience in a judgment-free zone. Rather than "jump to conclusions'' and make uncomfortable treatment recommendations to you after the first session, I will take time to get to know who you are, understand what you are facing, and help you explore ways to relieve your anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. I’ve worked to create the kind of non-judgmental therapy space where I’d want to find myself as a client—where one can ugly cry & make dark-humored jokes within the same session.

Life Transitions NYC
“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” -Mary Oliver I've been thinking about this every day since the first time I read it (or rather the first time it smacked me in the face, oh, so many years ago). It's some question, isn't it? Sometimes it inspires me. Sometimes it frightens me. Since it always challenges me, I've rooted my practice philosophy in it. It's kind of like the adult version of 'what do you want to be when you grow up'? How in the world do we answer that? If the question moves you like it does me then we're probably a good fit. Let's talk about the complexities of making life choices and finding fulfillment.
Systemic Perspectives
Are you feeling overwhelmed by having too much to do and think about? There may be days when you ask yourself, "how can I handle all of this?" I would like to offer you some additional tools that you can use to address the problems that you can't stop thinking about. My goal is that you leave my virtual office feeling more like yourself again with more clarity and confidence in tackling life's challenges.

Clients often tell me that I'm "real." I think they appreciate my irreverence, my sense of humor, and the fact that, while I'm kind/gentle, I never BS them. In other words, I come to the therapeutic relationship with curiosity, acceptance, and authenticity. Thus, clients are free to experiment with new ways of being, uncovering insights and answers along the way. Clients often tell me that I'm "real." Lots of people, myself included at times, buy into the notion that beating ourselves up is somehow noble or productive. In our work together, I'll encourage you, rather, to approach your challenges with compassion and inquisitiveness, trusting that you have the resources you need to achieve your goals. If you're ready to explore, I'm eager to listen. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
