Does it ever feel hard (or impossible) to just be yourself? You hear it all the time…people say, “just be you,” but it feels out of reach, too utterly terrifying, or too risky. Or maybe you are still discovering who you are. You’re asking questions and getting curious about aspects of your identity, how you view the world, and how you show up authentically in it. Maybe something shifted recently and you are trying to rediscover your sense of self while your world feels upside down. I help people find their most authentic self. In therapy, we get curious about different parts of ourselves. Parts that have had to stay hidden, parts that respond to triggers, parts we’ve been afraid to face. Working together, I'll support you as you deepen your understanding of your full self and increasingly show up as congruent, authentic, and fully you.

I work with individuals and couples in Georgia who are seeking support for various mental health challenges. Many of my clients have difficulties related to anxiety, depression, and past trauma that get in the way of enjoying life and thriving to their fullest potential. I also work with people who are diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, and related conditions. The foundation of my therapy is a collaborative relationship based on warmth and acceptance. I look beyond the mental health “condition” and seek to understand you as a person, influenced by your identities and past experiences. I will work collaboratively with you to develop goals for therapy and a plan to attain those goals. I provide a tailored therapy experience by utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy, emotion-focused couples therapy, and the Gottman Method. Overall, I seek to empower you with the skills to live a meaningful life based on your personal goals and values. Whether you are interested in individual therapy or couples counseling, I am looking forward to connecting with you and working together to create the change you are seeking. College can look exciting on the outside — but behind the scenes, many students feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure they’re keeping up. You may be juggling classes, pressure to succeed, shifting friendships, family expectations, and big decisions about your future — all while trying to hold it together on the outside. If you feel anxious, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unsure of yourself, you’re not the only one. I work with students who care about doing well but feel burned out from trying to keep up. Many struggle with anxiety, procrastination, trouble focusing, low confidence, perfectionism, or feeling like they don’t quite fit in. Others feel stuck after a setback, unsure about their direction, or overwhelmed by the independence and responsibility that come with college life. Together, we will focus on understanding what’s driving the stress and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. We might work on managing anxiety, improving focus and organization, navigating relationships, strengthening confidence, and creating a healthier balance between achievement and well-being. I offer a supportive, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be real about what you’re going through and feel understood. My goal is to help you make college feel more manageable and to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of who you are.
Decatur Mindfulness and Psychotherapy
I love working with clients who are open to utilizing mindfulness to help them to respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and feelings in order to live out their most important values and create the life they desire. I practice both ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). I also enjoy working with clients who want to work through spiritual/religious concerns and or utilize their spirituality/faith to help them on their journey.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed and disconnected. Perhaps your relationship is stuck in a negative cycle and you can't find the way out. Maybe you are going through a difficult transition and could use support. At some point we all need help dealing with the changes, or lack of change in our lives. Therapy can be a wonderful place to work out how to take the next steps and find relief. As a liberation focused therapist, I understand the impact oppressive structures have on our mental health. I work with adult individuals and people in relationships to help them reduce the effects of harm, and find joy and calm in their relationships and community. Currently, I provide in-person care anr my Smyrna office and teletherapy for folks throughout Georgia, with a "Walk and Talk" outdoor option as well. About me: I am direct and warm, with a touch of New Jersey sarcasm. I love belting musical numbers and appreciate art in all its forms. I am a white, Queer, diasporic Jew and mama of two; a spouse, sister, daughter and auntie in a multiracial and multifaith family. I have had the honor to walk alongside folks on their career and mental health journeys in both the college setting and the greater community. I love the work I do both in the therapy room and as an activist and would be excited to be a part of your support network.

Grace Guyton Counseling
I love working with women, specifically in their 20s-40s. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, mom and stepmom who cares deeply about supporting women and their partners as they navigate challenges and seek to have fulfilling relationships. Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, thoughtful, and carrying more than they let on. They're juggling the load of all the roles they fill, tend to put others before themself, are feeling disconnected or hurt in a relationship, or have a hard time quieting the constant chatter in their minds. With a spirit of authenticity, transparency, and some humor, I help women and couples to feel seen and understood as we unpack current or past issues and create a new path forward.
Bit by Bit Counseling
Do you find yourself constantly wondering if you measure up? Have passing thoughts that if people knew the real you they wouldn't hire you, be your friend, respect or admire you? Holding yourself to a high standard provides some amazing benefits AND it can really hold you back if it's an all-or-nothing situation. When your worth and value are on the line in every interaction, you live in a constant state of anxiety and have a hard time resting or enjoying your down time. When I was in my twenties, I was anxious and depressed but I never would've used those labels at the time. My life was great on paper – I thought I was happy because I thought should be happy. Then, in the moments when I noticed that I wasn’t feeling great, I beat myself up for not being positive and upbeat or grateful enough for everything I had. I thought that just feeling kinda sad and worried most of the time was normal and inevitable. The truth is, it is pretty normal, but it's not inevitable. In fact, part of what drives me to help people is that the level of unease I felt seems so common. I strongly suspect that there are people suffering needlessly who don't know that there are ways to feel better. One thing to know up front: working with me is weird! My clients who've been to therapy before or seen it on TV are often surprised by a few things about my practice. There's homework, and we'll both be writing things down in sessions. We won't just talk about the things you think and feel, we'll work together to change them for the better.
Decatur Counseling Center
On the outside, things look successful. People rely on you, and you generally handle what’s in front of you. But internally, it can feel very different. Your reactions feel stronger than you expect. You hold yourself to impossibly high standards. That critical inner voice is quick to point out what you should have done better. Even when you accomplish something meaningful, it rarely feels like enough. You may be someone who was labeled “gifted” or high-achieving early on. You’re thoughtful, capable, and used to performing well under pressure. Yet the constant drive to get it right can leave you exhausted and burned out. You might notice tension in your body that never quite goes away or difficulty truly relaxing. You understand your patterns and may have even done therapy before, but insight alone hasn’t fully created the change you’re looking for. In our work together, we move beyond simply talking about the problem. I integrate EMDR and somatic-informed approaches to help your nervous system process experiences that may still be driving anxiety, perfectionism, burnout or emotional intensity beneath the surface. When the body has a chance to settle, the mind often follows. Therapy becomes less about “figuring it out” and more about creating meaningful, embodied change. Our sessions are collaborative, focused, and respectful of your time and intelligence. I provide a calm, professional space where you can slow down without losing momentum. Together, we clarify what matters most to you and work toward a life that feels grounded, balanced, and genuinely fulfilling; not just successful on paper. If you’re ready for therapy that goes deeper than insight alone and supports lasting change, I’d be glad to connect. I invite you to schedule a free consultation through my website.

Caroline Drage at Be Well Atlanta Psychotherapy
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I take time to learn who you are, what matters to you, and what has been standing in the way of the life you want. I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, body image concerns, depression, and relationship challenges. Therapy with me is collaborative and honest. I will sit with you in the hard parts and ask questions that may be uncomfortable to answer. Growth asks something of us. I will encourage you, challenge you when it's useful, and hold you to what you say you want. I am currently completing my practicum at Be Well ATL under the supervision of Nicolanne Eustace, LPC, CPCS.
