If you’re ready for change, I’m ready to be with you through it. I may be the right fit if you find that therapy didn’t “hit the spot" in the past, believe your coping skills are only getting you so far, or if you’ve had success with traditional talk therapy + other healing modalities in the past but would like to dive deeper into your inner world. I believe my role is that of a passenger - to ride alongside and support you on your journey to cultivating the internal resources you already embody, so you may lead with more clarity and compassion in your day-to-day life. I encourage you to read my website bio for more details about what therapy with me will be like <3

One of my happy places is the beach. I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica and some of my most treasured memories and happiest times were spent at the beach. Living in Atlanta, I am not able to go to the beach as often as I would like, therefore, I bring the beach into my daily life through relaxation skills, music, décor, and my general mindset. As your therapist, my hope is that I can help you find your “happy place.” This may be a place, a person, a pet, an activity... anything that nourishes your mind, body and soul. I welcome the opportunity to help you learn how to develop solutions, feel empowered, and create a healthy lifestyle filled with joy, stability, self-acceptance, emotional well-being, and ultimately, happiness.

Helping ADHD brains thrive - Trauma recovery with EMDR - LGBTQ+ affirming. You’ve been doing your best to keep it together, but your brain won’t slow down, the past still hits hard, or you’re tired of trying to explain your identity. If you feel scattered, stuck, or just plain exhausted—you're not alone. I help people like you find clarity, healing, and practical tools to move forward. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused strategies, and EMDR (when it’s a good fit) to help you create real change. Human life is full of distractions and failures, and treatment, either psychological or physical, is likewise. We will have moments of perceived failure and distractions. That is OK…. new ways of thinking take time and practice. A trusting relationship between client and therapist is the most important factor in therapeutic success. I work hard to earn and keep your trust. I operate from a positive psychotherapy framework and provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental, safe place. I build this safe place so you can explore your concerns, learn about what is preventing you from living the life you want, or search for your preferred future. My counseling style is kind, caring, and built on relationships. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and non-judgment. Admitting to yourself that you can not do everything alone and reaching out to a professional for help are the first steps towards living your preferred future. The way in which we live is greatly influenced by how we see the world. Asking for help, and getting a new perspective is often the most profound step towards your preferred future. The more support you gain, the more able you will be to heal and grow. Therapy is an investment in yourself and is ALL ABOUT YOU. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, and the average cost of a session for clients who use their insurance is less than $30.

When you fall in love, mating hormones cause everything to be so easy: the touching, kissing, making love, listening, being heard, talking about anything and sometimes communicating without words. In six months, the hormones lose effect and loving loses the easy. Now we can teach you skills to get the easy loving back every day. Email us at lanestokes18@yahoo.com to reserve day and time to take the classes. Couples and Marriage Counseling is all about talking. We are all about action. Learn more at CounselingServicesAtlanta.com Lane Stokes, Founder KEY WORD is ACTION! We are moving rapidly from counseling to teaching because no time is wasted in talking about what is hoped for. You are getting it right then! Of course, teaching is a brand new concept so we continue to offer counseling for those unwilling to try something new. We treat mental illnesses and conditions, shame, guilt, anger, depression, anxiety, sadness, loneliness and worry. We also teach cutting edge classes for controlling emotions, discovering how others see us and changing that to something more preferred, teaching clients how to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, understanding personality conflicts that destroy relationships both personal and business and more. I am Lane, easy to talk with, caring, non-judgmental and eager to help. Please email me at lanestokes18@yahoo.com and lets chat about all that we can do for you. Consultation is complimentary. Try to get that from counselors who charge less.

College can be exciting—but also overwhelming. You may be balancing pressure to perform, adjusting to independence, or quietly struggling with anxiety, loneliness, or burnout. I support college students who feel stretched thin, unsure of their path, or disconnected from who they truly are. In our work together, you’ll find a space to slow down, reflect, and invite God into the process. Whether you’re dealing with academic stress, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or emotional exhaustion, I’ll help you explore how faith, boundaries, and healthy coping can support your peace and growth. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Healing is possible when you have a safe space to be seen, heard, and restored—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

I love working with motivated individuals who are striving to reduce anxiety, move past overwhelm, and bring balance back into their lives. School is filled with new experiences and transitions that can kick off or intensify anxiety and stress. It doesn't have to be that way. I can help you get to the root of what's bothering you and teach you tools to move forward with your life and goals. I specialize in working with adults and caregivers affected by cancer or chronic illness. I also work with adult adoptees curious about or pursuing search and reunion.

Dr. Dominique Thomas, Ed.D., LPC, PSC
It all starts with a good therapist. Hi, I’m Dr. Dominique Thomas. I specialize in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like they’re carrying more than people realize. Many of the students I work with are balancing academics, mental health, family expectations, and relationship struggles, all while trying to figure out who they are and what matters most to them. If your mind feels like it’s always going, or you’re juggling a lot emotionally and mentally, you’re not alone band you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work best with students navigating ADHD, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, identity questions, family conflict, and relationship challenges. You might be the strong one in your circle, the first in your family to pursue higher education, or someone who shows up for others while silently burning out. This space is for you. In therapy, we’ll explore the patterns and pressures shaping your experience and create practical, affirming strategies that actually work for your life. My approach is warm, culturally sensitive, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be with more clarity, confidence, and peace. If you’re feeling stuck, misunderstood, or just emotionally exhausted, know that support is available and healing is possible. I’m here to walk with you.
