Are you afraid of making one mistake that ruins your whole life? Do you find yourself constantly tired and anxious? Unable to have fun no matter what you’re doing? Maybe you’re looking for a therapist who's a dungeon master and watches anime? Then I’m your person. I am passionate about providing affirming care to geeky queer, trans, and gender-expansive individuals (13 years and older), and I specialize in folks experiencing OCD/anxiety, identity exploration, and life transitions, although I love to work with clients on a large variety of concerns. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down and feel truly seen for every aspect of you. Together, we’ll build up your toolbox with skills so you can set boundaries with others and calm your compulsive thoughts. We’ll explore the habits you’ve been meaning to stop and create ways to manage your time better. One way I enjoy connecting with clients is through media, video games, and other current geeky events – also known as Geek Therapy, where we use fantasy and play to work through what brings you to counseling. Depending on your passions, this can look like utilizing games, creating Dungeons & Dragons character sheets, watching your favorite tv show together or even showing up to a session in cosplay! We can bring your interests into the room to make therapy less scary and more empowering. Counseling has been absolutely crucial to my own journey, while also opening my eyes to the lack of queer-affirming support that is out there. This inspired me to become a counselor who gives back to their own community, by creating brave and affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ folx. I know how powerless and shameful it feels having to hide away parts of yourself to fit in with others and that is not necessary here. You can be yourself with me.

Abbie Becker
Hello there! I am Abbie Becker (LMSW), a licensed psychotherapist specializing in DBT, RO-DBT, and CBT for adolescents and young adults. I work with clients that are seeking out services for individual, family, and group therapy. Whether you are new to therapy, ready to return, or wavering at the thought, I’m eager to connect – no matter where you are in life. Before we explore the fundamental question of “What brings you to therapy?”, I think it’s only reasonable for you to become acquainted with your potential therapist. I incorporate my values into practice by instilling authenticity, empathy, kindness, resiliency, and vulnerability. Originating in Metro Atlanta and raised on Georgia football, I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, while managing to find my way back to Atlanta for a master’s in clinical social work from Kennesaw State. On any given day, you can find me unapologetically jamming to music, scanning flight deals for my next place of travel, and expressing creativity through unfinished furniture flips, blank canvases, and original jewelry designs. I’m passionate about working with individuals who have challenges with anxiety, depression, mood instability, medical trauma, under-controlled and over-controlled traits, women’s health, belongingness, and self-esteem. With hundreds of relationships established across my diverse experiences with a human trafficking non-profit and three residential facilities - including Hillside, a nationally recognized treatment program - I consistently recognize that no one is too broken, hopeless, or unworthy of having a life that is worth living. The unpredictable elements of life can be overwhelming. At times, it feels like the sun may never rise. However, these are also the bittersweet moments that foster personal growth, and it would be my absolute privilege in guiding you to the warm light. Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Personality Disorders, Life Transitions, Perfectionism & Over-Controlled Tendencies, Women’s Issues, Chronic Illness & Medical Invalidation, Parenting, Interpersonal Relationships, Burnout, Self-Esteem, Grief and Loss, and Family Systems Ages: 15+ Modalities: Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, and Parent Coaching Types of Therapy: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I specialize in working with girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Many of my clients are highly self-aware and emotionally sensitive, yet feel overwhelmed by the weight of expectations, inner criticism, or the pressure to keep functioning while struggling beneath the surface. If you're a young adult or adult, you may be in a season of transition, burnout, or disconnection. You might be questioning your worth, your direction, or your relationship with your body and mind. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and begin to move forward with clarity and self-compassion. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. Are you feeling overwhelmed under the pressures of facing life transitions, hacking adulthood, success/failure, and your FUTURE, particularly in these stressful, uncertain times? Finding an older adult who really gets it, and opening up to a stranger can also be really stressful- I understand! I promise, I really get all that you may be struggling with and can help you learn to cope with it all better, feel less overwhelmed, and be more confident in your ability to not just be “okay,” but to thrive. I work with a lot of folks in their twenties, and always strive to have a relaxed, supportive, inclusive, affirming, and judgment-free safe space for all clients to help them to learn and determine more about Who they are and want to be, to like and value themselves, manage stress and life better, take on each day confidently, and just generally believe they really can figure it out and do it (whatever “it” is). Through a compassionate trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, I seek to help my clients become empowered to heal, grow, and thrive. I work with adults, including many zoomers and zillennials, from all various backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, faiths, and world-views. While I see that most issues are grounded in some depth of trauma, my focused areas include: anxiety, loss/grief, PTSD and C-PTSD, stress, burnout, perfectionism, Self-Image & Identity, adjustment, attachment wounds / developmental trauma, interpersonal/relationship issues (including w/ family), narcissistic abuse survival, and recovery & relapse prevention. (I also offer a faith-based orientation by client request.) My collaborative approach to therapy does involve talking about life’s issues, but I don’t just repeat things back to you or tell you to change a thought or behavior. I tend to also promote thinking about things from new, alternative perspectives and of yourself in a sense of various parts, to provide comfortable structure and accountability, help you identify and then to understand the real reasons WHY patterns have developed & happen, and to learn how to feel safe, grounded, and regulated within yourself - no matter where you are. I’d say I take a Whole-istic mind-body stance, and often use neuro-somatic techniques, including Brainspotting (BSP) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to help reduce reactive feelings, as well as the integration of therapeutic psychedelics for deeper healing. Call, text, or email me whenever you’re ready, and let’s discuss your therapy needs and goals for being the best version of your Self! Lara Eddleman, MS, LPC, CCTP

Can you remember the last time you didn’t feel stressed? Has stress become your new normal? You feel depressed and have unrelenting anxiety. You feel stuck and wish the world would slow down. And your body is in a knot - stomach aches, muscle tension, stiff neck, tight jaw. Working with the body is essential for emotional health. I approach healing by addressing root causes of stress. Together, we’ll create a personalized and holistic plan for our work together. I am motivated to serve my community by merging my clinical expertise and lived experience. This looks like a focus on work with trans people. I believe strongly that trans clients deserve trans clinicians. I also serve folks with chronic illness and neurodiversity. Trauma is an experience that most of us have and I center it in all the work I do. I am a somatic therapist. This means I am passionate about your mental and physical health. I use modalities such as Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist my clients on their path to heal in response to stress and trauma. If you feel compelled to work with me please reach out. I am easily available by phone or email so we can talk more. I am accepting new clients and hungry to work with folks in my community!

Shane Blasko Psychotherapy, LLC
Hello; My name is Shane Blasko. I am a Licensed Psychologist. The style of therapy that I utilize is compassion-based interpersonal therapy, which is based on the idea that the relationship between a person and their therapist is extremely important. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy; it is an important relationship through which we can heal from past traumas, work through life transitions, learn to communicate more effectively, and learn to manage disruptive symptoms through learning more effective ways of coping, and understanding why we cope the way we do. I believe that it is important for therapists to try to understand the different contexts that each client is coming from; this means that I am dedicated to learning more about how each client experiences the world, and makes sense of it. I believe that each individual is unique, and that part of the job of the therapist is to try to understand how the client makes meaning of their experiences, and to assist the client with their goals.
