You’ve been through a traumatic experience and you haven’t been functioning the same since then. You see yourself struggling more and more in your relationships, at your job, and in your day-to-day life. You feel alone. You’re scared that you might feel this way forever. You’re even more scared that things might get worse. You want to feel happy again, and you want to break free from the cycle you find yourself in over and over again. If this sounds familiar, I can tell you that you can heal from your trauma and the difficult experiences that you have gone through.
Did you know that your brain is designed to naturally heal itself? When you have a severe cut, you tend to the wound and put bandages on it, but, for the most part, it heals itself over time. The brain does this too. Therapy and EMDR are the tools that help the brain engage in its natural ability to heal itself from trauma, abuse and difficult transitions.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which is a proven treatment for trauma that goes beyond talk therapy. I utilize EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Psychotherapy to help college students heal from trauma, navigate challenging relational issues, and cope with depression and anxiety.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
