Hi, I’m Kristin McCarty, and I offer virtual therapy in Wisconsin! I'm very down to earth and love to make your session as comfortable as possible. My approach is holistic, meaning we look at your thoughts, how your body responds to stress, and your spiritual self. We might talk through your experiences, use guided imagery, or practice connecting with your body. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and gain insights into what’s happening in your life.

What is your client focus?
I work with college students and adults who are dealing with the pressure of academics, social dynamics, and the big transitions that come with this stage of life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself, I’m here to help. Together, we can explore how to manage the demands of school, relationships, and future goals, while also addressing any underlying beliefs or past experiences that may be affecting you.
What is your communication style?
I focus on creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment built on trust and respect. Depending on what feels right for you, I can offer quiet reflection or take a more proactive, coaching-style approach. My goal is to adapt to your unique needs, making sure our time together feels collaborative and safe so you can explore your challenges at your own pace.
How do you approach goal setting with clients?
When we set goals, we’ll look at three main areas: what’s happening in your life right now, how past experiences or beliefs may be shaping your current behaviors, and what you want to achieve in the future. We’ll break things down into manageable steps, adjusting along the way as needed to help you move toward your goals, whether that’s feeling more confident, managing stress better, or making big life decisions.
What should clients expect during a first session with you?
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. You can share about your college experience, relationships, and what’s currently causing stress or frustration. I’ll listen closely, and together we’ll identify some initial goals to work on. By the end of the session, I hope you’ll feel heard and leave with a sense of hope and direction for what’s next.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a therapist.
I’ve always been sensitive to emotions and found art and creativity to be healing when I was younger. During college, I struggled with panic attacks, and that experience led me to discover the power of therapy and healing techniques. My journey inspired me to help others going through similar challenges. Now, I combine traditional therapy with mindfulness and energy healing, using what I’ve learned to help college students like you find balance, heal, and grow.
