For most people, there comes a time when life’s stressors become too great for the individual to manage on their own. Unhealthy thought patterns and coping behaviors can add to this stress and even isolate the person from their usual support system. Those that seek assistance through therapy may find that they are able to learn new ways of coping with stress. Or, they may learn to view situations through a different perspective. The intervention or change for each person varies based on that individual’s needs. I look forward to building a partnership with my clients to meet each individual’s specific goals and desired outcomes.

In order for a therapist and client to make significant change, a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. I aim to provide a respectful, safe, and supportive environment where the client and therapist are free to be honest. By building this trustful partnership, we are able to identify and address the individual’s specific goals and needs. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and so I meet them right where they are at in their healing journey. From there, we’ll work together to determine a plan that effectively addresses their unique needs. I believe in the importance of tailoring therapeutic interventions to each specific client to maximize positive outcomes.
