Dr. Josephine Almanzar

Psychologist, Psy.D.

I am a Licensed Psychologist who offers individual therapy, as well as learning disorders, ADHD, personality and psychopathology testing. My training has primarily consisted of working with college students in counseling centers, including the Georgia State University Counseling Center (Go Panthers)! I offer therapy and have experience addressing depression, self-esteem, grief, relationships, anxiety, and identity development. I also offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for learning disorders and ADHD, as well as psychological evaluations to assess mood, personality, and relationship functioning.

In psychotherapy and testing, I pride myself in taking a strengths-based approach; I believe that we all have undiscovered strengths that can be useful during challenging times. My theoretical orientation is Interpersonal, which is an integrative framework to help you explore your life through the perspective of connection, thoughts, and emotions.

I welcome you to be all of who you are, while helping you explore all that you can be. You may be wondering if you are capable of taking this step, and the answer is YES! It may take you out of your comfort zone, but you are not alone once you step outside of it. Sometimes we need additional support to reach our potential and navigate change, and it is my honor to be a helping hand in your life.
