I approach each problem with curiosity. I seek to offer a warm, genuine, accepting and safe environment to allow my clients to express themselves honestly. I prefer to use a collaborative approach, integrating healing with daily living.
I am a mother of two daughters aged 24 and 17. I started my journey toward seeking to serve others more than 30 years ago with an undergraduate degree in Social Work. I had a deep desire to address the challenges associated with cultural adjustment and mental health. To enhance my understanding of culture, I chose to pursue a Master's in Anthropology soon after completing my undergraduate degree. This launched my career into working with new arrival families in a variety of settings. After spending time raising my family, I completed my long term goal of obtaining a counseling degree in 2013. Since then, I have worked in many different settings and with clients from a variety of groups and stages of life, including community based care, inpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and crisis care and support in a medical setting. I have served both adolescents and adults. At this time in my career, I seek to continue to support adults of all ages and backgrounds.
