I am a licensed clinical psychologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation and a Member of the Faculty at Harvard Medical School. I specialize in treating bipolar disorder and depression as well as comorbid conditions (anxiety, substance use). My therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapies, and my goal is to provide you with tools and skills that you can use to ultimately self-manage your condition.
I treat patients who are based in Massachusetts and/or New York. I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Boston University, with several years of training at the Boston University Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. I completed my predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
In addition to my work with patients, I also perform other activities. I am a highly published researcher in the area of bipolar disorder, substance use, and depression. My research on bipolar disorder and substance use has been funded by the National Institute on Mental Health and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. In addition, I regularly consult with and contribute to media publications. My media interviews have been published in The New York Times, NPR, Wondermind, and The Boston Globe, among other outlets.
I view therapy as a close collaboration between the psychologist and you, the expert by experience. Your unique voice, identity, and perspective is valuable and I look forward to accompanying you on your therapeutic journey.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
